Moved out of my residence in September 2010, requested return boxes for the equipment i had. Never received anything. Called a second and third time, never received boxes. Finally, was told to bring boxes to a UPS center to send them back. I did so and 3 months after, I get a bill from Verizon for $954!!!!!!!!!!! for unreturned equipement.

I have made dozens of calls to them at this point, provided the tracking number every single time, yet this still appears on my credit report. Initially my score dropped 100 points because of this!!!!!!!

At my wits end with this disgrace of a company!! I have never once complained anywhere about a company, but this is simply unacceptable and is literally damaging my life. 1291410

Verizon claims that eqipment returned is still owned by me. I have faxed receipts and I cannot get this resolved. I am now writing to the OAG Office of Atty. General and probably now going to court to fight them on unfair billing. Blog again on how this turns out.

You guys think Spring or Verizon is bad you should try and deal with Frontier Communications. They promise everything over the phone but that is far as it goes. Have been dealing with them for over 6 months and have to call them yet again tomorrow.

I think Verizon has incentive to invent false charges and then send it to collections. Here is what I think is going on...Verizon gets to sell the debt they claim you owe to the collection agency (IC System), then the part they couldn't sell -- they will claim as a tax break -- getting out of paying their fair share of taxes --- and Verizon gets to put a nick in a lost customer's credit rating (extortion). The reason I say this is extortion is because one reason why many people just go ahead and pay them for false charges so they won't suffer the credit ding. Or sometimes people hang around as Verizon's customer because they are thinking that Verizon will only solve the problem if you stick with them & keep paying them something. I might be posting my full story later. But, I can tell you -- I'm not sure the FTC,the public utilities commission, nor the attorney general, care -- but you should complain anyway.... if they don't hear enough complaints they won't do anything at all... there has to be public pressure... that's basically what the attorney general wrote to me, even though I pointed out this scam was not just against the individual consumer, but the public (through tax deception/evasion, and unjust means of pulling in more profit)through invented debts.

I had the exact same problem Mike My equipment was returned in March of 2011. I got my first bill in June for "not returning" it. I called them at least once every 2 weeks since then trying to straighten it out. Collection agencies got involved, my credit report was trashed, all the while I was calling them and giving them the confirmation number from the shipment. I finally got it straightened out in February 2012. Almost one year since I shipped them their boxes and modem... A true nightmare!

Is Verizon successor to Sprint? I had a terrible problem with Sprint. I'd rather deal with the Mafia than Sprint (or whoever succeeded them).

Sadly I BELIEVED Verizon wireless when i signed up with this sham company last October. My son is online K-12 school and i was promised excellent service, blah blah blah. Not only did we receive FOUR busted modem sticks within FOUR WEEKS but the fifth week we went to our verizon "LOCAL STORE" only to be told by them "sorry! this modem stick is busted and we DONT TAKE RETURNS HERE". Now can your kid miss four WEEKS of school without hassle?? MINE COULDNT OR ME EITHER. I NEVER HAD ANY SERVICE DURING THIS FOUR WEEK NIGHTMARE BUT THEY WANT one THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND NINETY NINE CENTS! thats of course for penalties and interest. They have called my home 3to4 times a DAY, threats of arrest, jail, DEBTORS PRISON, lawsuits, seizure of income tax returns, etc. Well guess what VERIZON!!! KISS MY BIG WHITE BEAUTIFUL CONSUMBER BOOTIE! I AM DISABLED AND YOU WERE TOLD THIS WHEN I JOINED UP. BITE MY BUTT. I have turned you into the FCC and FTC. SUE ME. GO AHEAD but quit threatening MY AUTISTIC SON WITH JAIL YOU NO COUNT JERKS. HA! HA! HA! BITE ME.

Despite moving into a top floor high rise, I experience so many filemas with Verizon Cell phone. Overlapping screens, "CANNOT OPEN NEW WINDOW SINCE YOU HAVE EXCEEDED YOUR LIMIT." I pay Them a good monthly chunk! Hello!!! I've exchanged for a replacement and yet totally dissatisfied! Verizon is all about corporate profit and not deliver! I'm at wits end and considering the worst: take the fall with early cancel charge!!!!
